Transcribe a lecture now

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Upload the recording

Choose a file or paste a link — MP3, WAV, M4A and more formats are supported.

  2. Step 2

Choose language & number of speakers

Language is detected automatically. Optionally specify how many people speak (e.g. the lecturer plus questions from the audience).

  3. Step 3

    Get your transcript

You get a transcript with timestamps you can read, search, and export as Word or PDF.

What you get

Timestamps per section

Every section is marked with a time — handy for finding a specific point in the lecture again.

Speaker recognition

When multiple people speak (e.g. during Q&A), the AI distinguishes different speakers.

Word & PDF export

Download the finished transcript, formatted — for studying, archiving, or sharing with classmates.

Chat playback

Listen to the recording alongside the text, laid out like a conversation with a timeline.

Free, no account

No registration, no subscription. Upload a file and transcribe.

Multilingual

Besides English, other languages are recognized too — useful for foreign-language lectures or guest talks.

  • Replicate removes API prediction inputs, outputs, files, and logs after about one hour by default; Sprechverlauf does not permanently store audio or transcript content.

Frequently asked questions

Is this good for long lecture recordings?+

Yes. Long recordings such as lectures and seminars are transcribed with speaker labels and timestamps — ready to read, search, and export.

Do I need to register to transcribe a lecture?+

No. Sprechverlauf works without an account — upload a file, choose settings, transcribe.

Does it recognize audience questions during the lecture?+

Yes, as long as you specify the approximate number of speakers. AI-based speaker diarization assigns sections to the respective speakers.

How am I legally allowed to use the recording?+

You must be authorized to process the recording yourself (e.g. because the instructor allowed recording). Details are in our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

Can I export the transcript for exam prep?+

Yes. After transcription, download the result as a Word or PDF file — formatted with speakers and timestamps.

Do I need an account or minute plan?+

No. No account or login is required, and there is no paid minute plan or daily freemium quota. Technical anti-abuse limits apply.

How long is processing data retained?+

Replicate removes API prediction inputs, outputs, files, and logs after about one hour by default. Sprechverlauf does not permanently store audio or transcript content on its own server.
